Included with the standard Vision PLUS ® Desktop is a comprehensive set of modules that provide basic programming capabilities, and also serve as the foundation for the additional optional modules.

• Data Information Manager - The DIM provides estimation of cutting times, rapid moves, and pierce times on individual parts or entire nests. Calculates total cutting time, pierces, cutting length, etc. on a part or nest, provides on-screen and printed reports, accurate calculations based on actual machine performance, customizable data and field names, output in many different forms.
  
• Automatic Nesting - The Automatic Nesting module adds fully automated true shape nesting to the Vision PLUS Desktop system. It is a fully featured automatic nesting package, providing Part-In-Part Nesting true shape nesting, Multiple Torch Nesting, and many more powerful features. Manual or automatic manipulation can be done on any nests created. Nesting can be done on rectangular plate or remnants. The Data Information Module (DIM) is included with the Automatic Nesting addition to the Vision PLUS(TM) Desktop.
  
• Data Management Module - The DMM is an addition to the Vision PLUS Desktop, providing part management and tracking capabilities that convert the nesting system into a powerful tool for production control. The DMM is used to organize and manage parts to be processed. Delivery date, material required, and priority of a part can all be specified. Automatically track the part/order through the entire process and track what plate was used to cut the part.
  
• Plate Management Module - The PMM adds plate inventory and remnant tracking capabilities to the Vision PLUS Desktop system. It is a fully featured database package, closely integrated with the programming and nesting capabilities of the Vision PLUS Desktop. The automated features help accurately track plate inventory, and make it easy to utilize every scrap of plate, maximizing profits through maximum plate utilization. Remnant shapes and sizes are automatically generated from the unused portion of plates. Plate inventory is automatically updated simply by assigning a nest to a plate. The PMM makes nest generation easy, allowing the user to pick the plate or remnant from inventory instead of defining the plate size. The database retains the information relating each nest to a specific plate.
  
• Bevel Support Module - Provides support for automatic variable bevel angle (VBA) cutting systems, including Waterjet, Oxyfuel, Laser and Plasma bevel units.
  
• Transition Module - allows quick and easy development of three dimensional transitions. Graphical selection of the shape and graphical 3-D displays make it easy to create the desired transition. The software then automatically unfolds the 3-D shape into a 2-D program for cutting. Many advanced features make this a powerful programming tool.
  
• Multi-Process Cutting Post - supports two or more cutting processes within the same part program. Allows identification of CAD geometry for each type of cutting process. Automatically generates the appropriate station on/off codes. Allows user to assign the desired cutting parameter file to each cutting process for automatic selection of cutting parameters and quality level.
  
• ESSI Import Filter - allows import of ESSI programs into the Vision PLUS Desktop. Once imported, programs can be manipulated in the same manner as any other programmed or imported part.
  
• Solid Works Import Filter - allows Solid Works "SLDPRT" 3D files to be imported seamlessly without translating to DXF. Parts are imported directly into the Vision PLUS Desktop.
  
• Auto Import Capability - used with the Data Manager to automate data input from a customer's production control system. It allows use of a text file with complete job information including Job Number, Material, Part File, Thickness, etc. The Data Managers fields will be filled in automatically, reducing the amount of manual input for programming and nesting, and eliminating data entry errors.
  
• Network License Management - manages multiple user network access to Columbus licenses. Allows many users to share a few licenses. Number of concurrent users is limited to actual number of licenses purchased. All Licenses must have the same options. Requires Windows TCP/IP-Network.
  
• Maintenance Contract - All incremental updates and major upgrades are free for the first year with any Columbus software package. This option provides an additional year of updates and upgrades.
  
• On-Line Training - Internet based software training. Uses cutting edge web-based real-time personal training, allowing hands-on training of your personnel without ever leaving your facility. Requires a PC with internet access (preferably high-speed) and a telephone voice connection (preferably speaker-phone).
