The left and right torches are fully adjustable, and can be independently positioned for bevel angle, left and right offset, and lead/lag offset. The lower torch fixture floats on the plate surface with an air-cooled plate riding wheel, so that bevel geometry remains accurate even if the plate is not level. A leading set of wheels detects the plate edge, and locks the floating mechanism to allow cutting off the plate edge.

A heavy-duty motorized lifter positions the head to the plate cutting. Individual gas valves are provided for each torch and allow precise adjustment of the preheat flames. An air cooling system keeps the lower head cool, and a pneumatic cylinder is used to lock the lower unit while cutting off the plate edge.
