CORESHIELD 6

Coreshield 6 is an E70T-6 self-shielded flux-cored wire designed for flat and horizontal welds requiring Charpy V-notch properties. This wire is FEMA 353 approved.

Features

Coreshield 6 is a great wire for downhand welding applications requiring high deposition rates. It is the first choice for splice joints, flat and horizontal welding in structural applications. In fact, it's the only choice if you want to combine top quality welds with operator appeal in an open air set up. It is used in single or multiple applications and gives high deposition rates, low spatter, and good penetration. It can be used in applications having seismic requirements.

Coreshield 6 is run DCEP (electrode positive).
