Features

Arcaloy 310-15 electrodes were developed for the welding of type 310 stainless steel. It can be used to weld types 410 and 430 heat - treat with Arcaloy 310 or 309 types where field welding is done and where it is not possible to preheat or anneal after welding.

Extra Info

Arcaloy 310 electrodes are used for welding of Type 310 stainless steels. They should not be used for the high carbon grades of similar composition such as the ACI Grade HK-40 owing to the likelihood of weld metal cracking. Arcaloy 310 weld metal is ferrite free and therefore non-magnetic but the possibility of micro-fissuring cannot be ruled out. The use of Arcaloy 310-15 in this respect may be preferred. The basic coating of Arcaloy 310-15 gives the highest resistance to cracking and excellent verical welding characteristics. It is therefore the choice for field welding.
