All-State 310-16 electrodes were developed for the welding of type 310 stainless steel. Usable on AC or DC current.
Features
All-State 310 electrodes were developed for the welding of type 310 stainless steel. All-State 310 weld deposit exhibits the same chemical analysis and oxidation resistance as the base plate metal. It is considered standard practice to weld types 410, 430, and 502 with All-State 310 or 309 where field welding is done and where it is not possible to preheat or anneal after welding.

Extra Info
All-State 310 electrodes are used for welding of Type 310 stainless steels. They should not be used for the high carbon grades of similar composition such as the ACI Grade HK-40 owing to the likelihood of weld metal cracking. All-State 310 weld metal is ferrite free and therefore non-magnetic but the possibility of micro-fissuring cannot be ruled out. The use of All-State 310-15 in this respect may be preferred. The basic-rutile thin coating of All-State 310-16 gives an excellent combination of welding performance in all positions and a high resistance to cracking. It is therefore a good choice for a multitude of welding applications including tight joints.
