Arcaloy 316L-17 Plus

Arcaloy 316L-Plus electrode utilizes a heavy coating to maximize performance in the flat and horizontal position. Usable on AC or DC current.

Features

Arcaloy 316L-17 Plus electrodes have a heavy coating and produce a concave bead with minimal ripple. The slag is virtually self-cleaning. Molybdenum increases the resistance to pitting corrosion caused by corrosive media such as sulfuric and sulfurous acids, sulphites, chlorides and cellulose solutions. For welding Types 316 & 316L stainless steels when bead appearance is important.

Extra Info

Arcaloy 316L-17 Plus electrodes are designed to produce a concave bead with minimum ripple and the slag is virtually self-releasing. This is particularly useful in the food and drink industry where a smooth polished surface is required. These electrodes are designed to weld Types 316 and 316L for corrosion service at temperatures up to about 600ºF (315ºC).
