ARCALOY 317L-15

Arcaloy 317L-15 electrodes are recommended for welding type 317 and 317L. The addition of molybdenum improves the weld metal crack resistance. Best used out-of-position on DC current.

Features

Arcaloy 317L-15 electrodes are recommended for welding type 317 and 317L with a maximum 0.04% carbon in the weld deposit. The higher molybdenum content of these electrodes as compared to Arcaloy type 316L further reduces the susceptibility of pitting corrosion.

Extra Info

Arcaloy 317L-15 electrodes are used for welding Types 317 and 317L stainless steels. In many cases they can also be used for the welding of Types 316 and 316L. The basic coating of Arcaloy 317L-15 gives the highest resistance to cracking and excellent vertical welding characteristics. It is therefore the choice for field welding.
