ARCALOY 317L-16
Arcaloy 317L-16 electrodes are recommended for welding type 317 and 317L. The addition of molybdenum improves the weld metal crack resistance. Usable on AC or DC current.
Features
Arcaloy 317L-16 electrodes are recommended for welding type 317 and 317L with a maximum 0.04% carbon in the weld deposit. The higher molybdenum content of these electrodes as compared to Arcaloy type 316L further reduces the susceptibility of pitting corrosion.

Arcaloy 317L-16 electrodes are used for welding Types 317 and 317L stainless steels. In many cases they can also be used for the welding of Types 316 and 316L. The basic-rutile thin coating of Arcaloy 317L-16 gives an excellent combination of welding performance in all positions and a high resistance to cracking. It is therefore a good choice for a multitude of welding applications including tight joints.
