ARCALOY ER82

Arcaloy ER82 is used for TIG, MIG, and SAW welding of base materials such as ASTM B163, B166, B167, and B168 alloys which have UNS Number N0660.

Features

Arcaloy ER82 is used for TIG, MIG, and SAW welding of base materials such as ASTM 3, B166, B167, and B168 alloys which have UNS Number N0660. It is one of the most used nickel alloys whose applications range from cryogenic to high temperatures. This filler metal can also be used for dissimilar welding applications between various nickel alloy and stainless or carbon steels, as well as for overlaying.

Extra Info

Arcaloy ER82 is a solid wire and is for welding Inconel 600®, UNS N06600, and similar alloys. It has some application in the welding of cast stainless steels and nickel alloys for high temperature service. It is used for dissimilar joints between stainless and low alloy steels without the temperature restrictions of a stainless steel filler metal. It can also be used for cladding steels.
Depending upon its form, Arcaloy ER82 can be used in the MIG, TIG or submerged arc processes to name the three most common. In the case of the MIG (GMAW), spray, pulse or short-arc modes of transfer are used depending on the gas used. With this process, shielding gases of argon possibly with helium and very small quantites of oxygen or carbon dioxide are used. For TIG (GTAW), 100% argon or argon with some helium additions are used. A flux, such as OK Flux 10.16, is used with the larger sizes of Arcaloy ER82 for submerged-arc welding.
