Electrode for repairing high speed tools
This is a great tig electrode for repairing or rebuilding high speed tools without hardening the tool. Deposits a tungsten-moly high speed steel that may be annealed, reheat-treated, drawn or tempered.

| As Welded | 62 to 63 Rc |
Deposits are tungsten-moly high speed steel that have excellent cutting power and high toughness and will maintain a sharp edge at high temperatures. "As welded" deposit is approximately 62-63 Rc, and may be hardened to 66 Rockwell C by tempering.
Set wire amperage and adjust voltage for smoothest operation.Use 98% Argon 2% Oxygen shielding gas. Wire will also operate in the short circuiting mode or with pulse arc,and under these conditions, may be usable out-of-position. Observe the usual precautions on preheat, joint preparation, and welding technique used with other cast iron welding processes. Light peening of each bead will reduce internal stresses and minimize cracking tendencies.
