Extra Info

A broad working temperature range permits use as either a bead forming or thin flowing alloy. Brass or bronze may be fusion welded with All-State No. 41FC. Widely used in maintenance and body shops as a general brazing alloy and in production of steel furniture and bicycles.

Procedure

Degrease areas to be joined.Cast iron surfaces should be "seared" with a strong oxidizing flame and wire brushed to remove surface graphite and impurities. When applying All-State No. 41FC, a neutral flame should be used. Heat base metal and melt a small amount of flux off the rod and continue to heat until the flux liquifies. Then melt rod off onto the base metal and flow out; continue this procedure until the job is complete. Allow to cool slowiy. All-State No. 1113 Flux may be used if additional capillary flow is needed, or it may be painted on adjacent areas to protect against discoloration.
