A welding wire for fabricating and joining silicon bronze, copper alloys, some iron-base metals and thin gauge galvanized steel. Deposits are high strength, ductile and crack resistant. Especially good on galvanized steel. Use with 100% Ar or 25/75 Ar/He shielding gas.
A bare filler metal for fabricating and joining silicon bronze, copper alloys, some iron-base metals, and thin gauge galvanized steel. Deposits are high strength, ductile, and crack resistant. Use with 100% Argon or 25%/75% Argon/Helium shielding gas.

It is particularly suited for surfaces exposed to corrosion (not recommended for bearing surfaces). It has wide use in joining thin gauge galvanized steel, such as employed in the heating and air conditioning industry.
When using either TIG or carbon arc process, the DC welding machine should be set on straight polarity. An AC welder may be used but it will not be as smooth. The base metal is heated with the arc and the alloy is flowed onto the surface at the same time; no flux is required. Do not permit the base metal to become overheated(do not exceed 150°F (66°C). Stringer beads are recommended rather than weave beads.
