Excellent bead appearance, good wetting action, low spatter, full yet easy-to-remove slag cover. High travel speed allows higher deposition rate than gas shielded metal arc electrodes. Smooth arc action and weld edges. Use on lap and fillet welds for auto body repair and sheet metal work.
Weld using direct current, electrode negative (DC straight polarity) .045" at 150-200 amps. 17 volts, 124 ipm, 1/2" (12.7mm) stickout. 1/16" at 200 amps, 18 volts, 96 ipm, 1/2" (12.7mm) stickout. Use V knurled drive rolls. Apply 5° - 15° leading gun angle in all positions. To develop weld bead, do not weave more than 1/4" (6.4mm).
