RG-45 deposits a ductile and easily machinable lower strength weld. Use RG-45 on steel plate, sheet and pipe where high strength is not required. Also for wrought iron.
Procedure
Clean joint area. Bevel heavy sections. Adjust torch to neutral flame. Keep torch tip at low angle to base metal. Preheat normally not necessary.
