Iron based flux cored alloy containing chromium, molybdenum manganese and silicon. Deposits are machinable, tough, sound and dense. Use for under-layment for harder overlays on carbon and low alloys steels. Build-up: unlimited.
A strong, tough, low-alloy, build-up wire for carbon and low alloy steels. Weld deposits are exceptionally sound and dense. Heavy thicknesses are possible without danger of cracking. Machinable with hardness of 33-38 RC.

For parts that must be rebuilt prior to hardfacing or back to original dimensions.
Operates on DC reverse polarity over a wide range of voltages and amperages. It may be used with short-arc welding from 16-23 volts and 80-200 amps or spray-arc welding from 29-33 volts and 220-250 amps. For vertical welding use from 16-19 volts and 80-150 amps. With short-arc, although CO2 gas may be used. 75/25 Argon-CO2 or another Argon-CO2 mixture perform best. Use 30-35 CFH. With spray-arc welding, mixtures of Argon and Oxygen, such as 98/2 or 95/5, are recommended. Use 35-40 CFH.
