Ductwork is carried on the machine for localized collection of the fumes produced by the scarfing process. This ductwork is connected to the customer's smoke collection and cleaning system. L-TEC patented high pressure water nozzles are also used to suppress smoke as well as quench granulate and remove the molten slag from the steel's surface.
