ESAB MIG-6 contiene mayores niveles de desoxidación (manganeso y silicon) comparado con el uso general como el que se le da al ESAB MIG-3. El alto contenido de desoxidantes permiten la fundición de tierra, óxido y cascarillas de laminación mientras provee un puddle mas fluido y un perfil de línea mas suave.
