ARCALOY 317L-17 Plus

Arcaloy 317L-17 Plus electrodes utilize a heavy coating to maximize performance in the flat and horizontal positions. Usable on AC or DC current. The addition of molybdenum improves resistance to pitting corrosion.

Features

Arcaloy 317L-17 Plus electrodes have a heavy coating and produce a concave bead with minimal ripple. The slag is virtually self cleaning. Type 317 alloy provides maximum pitting corrosion resistance. Carbon content 0.04% maximum.

Extra Info

Arcaloy 317L-17 Plus electrodes are designed to produce a concave bead minimum ripple and the slag is virtually self-releasing. This is particularly useful in the food and drink industry where a smooth polished surface is required. These electrodes are designed to weld Types 317 and 317L for corrosion service at temperatures up to about 600ºF (315ºC). In many cases they can also be used to weld Types 316 and 316L.
