Vision PC

Computer Numerical Control

The Vision PC brings cutting machine control to a new level with an industrial Windows based CNC. A color LCD display provides reliable color graphics in a small package. Easily networkable, this control comes standard with Remote Diagnostics, and an internal hard disk drive allows high speed access to nearly unlimited part program storage.

Features

  • Joystick Contouring - Makes it easy to move the machine forward and backward along the path in order to restart or pickup the cut after a flameout or interruption.
  • Multi-Level Return To Start - Makes it easy to back up within an interrupted program to the beginning, or to any previous pierce point.
  • Context Sensitive Windows Help - Explains the choices on each menu and gives simple operating instructions.
  • Kerf-On-The-Fly - With kerf override, enables the operator to easily fine tune the cutter offset while cutting for more accurate parts.
  • Plasma Pre-Stop - Improves consumable life by shutting off the plasma arc slightly prior to reaching the end of cut.
  • Library of Standard Shapes - The shape library offers variable lead-in/out geometry, multiple lead-in points, and reversible cut direction.
  • Graphical Displays - In the part in the program editor (with zoom), shape library, nesting editor, and during program execution. Graphical cursor shows running point so the operator can see where the torch is even when it’s under water.
  • Zoom While Running - Allows close up view of real-time graphics while cutting large, complex nests.
  • Program Parking allows the operator to take care of urgent projects by interrupting a program, and returning to it after processing the parts that just can’t wait.
  • Easily Networked using the built-in 10MBit Ethernet Controller.
  • Mirror X / Y - Easily mirror a part in either the X or Y axis, or both.
  • Multi-Tasking allows program input, editing, shape library, nesting, and DNC functions while the machine is cutting.
  • On-Screen Nesting allows the operator to graphically nest parts on either a plate or a recorded remnant.
  • Plate Alignment compensates for misalignment of the plate.
  • Program Continue After Power Failure or emergency shutdown, reduces costly waste.
  • Pierce Test - Allows the operator to test the plate for readiness before piercing, which means fewer missed pierces and scrapped parts.
  • Program Scaling and Rotation to virtually any size and/or angle.
  • DNC Options including Parallel Program Transfer or UDL interface.
  • Programmable Station Selection turns on the desired cutting or marking stations via the part program, automating multi-process machines.
  • Kerf Preview with Zoom - Check for kerf interference before running a part. Includes a zoom function for complex nests.
  • Automatic Reference for one step startup after power on.
  • Help Functions to set up fixed points, software limits, tool offsets, and home positions, measure drive speed, and detect motor phasing.
  • Return To Path - After jogging off path torch automatically returns to the point where it left the path - for faster startup after consumable change. Also allows operator to pierce in the scrap to pick up cut.

The Vision PC features an industrial Single Board Computer, a 10.4" color LCD display, multi-gigabyte hard disk drive, 3.5" floppy disk drive, and built-in 100MBit Ethernet Controller. Hardware features like the 8-position joystick, hand-wheel, and speed potentiometer make it easier to operate by putting the necessary controls at your fingertips.

The Vision PC integrates station control and process control into an ergonomic operator’s panel, allowing the most technologically advanced process control in the industry. Programmable station selection is included, and provides the basis for ESAB’s exclusive Process Parameter Programming.
