Bevel Cutting Systems
ESAB has a bevel cutting system for virtually every production requirement. Our bevel cutting systems range from simple systems designed for straight line edge preparation all the way to fully automatic systems designed for intricate contour variable bevel cuts. ESAB is also the only provider to deliver beveling systems for any cutting process, including plasma, oxy-fuel, laser and waterjet.
Oxy Fuel Bevel Systems
ESAB offers three different types of Oxy-Fuel Bevel systems, to cover every application. Each of these can produce K, V, X, or Y bevel edge preparations. The three systems include fully manual systems for straight line edge preparation, the Contour Bevel Head, which provides automatic rotation to allow beveling on contours and all sides of the part, and the Triple Header, a fully automatic system which features programmable tilt, programmable offsets, programmable lead/lag, infinite rotation, tilt angles to 60 degrees, automatic height control, and off-the-plate detection.
Plasma Bevel Systems
ESAB’s Plasma Bevel systems include the Heavy-Duty Rotary Plasma Bevel System, and the Expert Motion Plasma VBA. Each offers variable bevel control through +/- 45 degrees, non-contact initial height sensing, and tactile sensor automatic height control for the most accurate bevel cutting in the industry. The Plasma VBA has been streamlined and optimized for smaller machines, and is available on the Avenger large gantries. The Heavy-Duty Rotary Plasma Bevel System is well suited for high-production bevel cutting, and is available on the Avenger 3 and Avenger 4 machines.
Laser Bevel Systems
Laser cutting continues to grow in popularity and capabilities. ESAB now offers beveling capability for lasers. ESAB's exclusive 5 axis laser bevel system will cut highly accurate bevels on a carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum, up to 45 degrees, depending on material thickness.
Waterjet Bevel Systems
ESAB’s Waterjet Bevel system is the most accurate bevel system ever designed. It’s robotic design yeilds outstanding performance which, when coupled with the accuracy and flexibility of the waterjet process, allows high-accuracy beveling of virtually any material.
